Paris

So uh..probably take a break like half way through this sucker because this post is going to be forever long!
Day 1
Oh just heading off to Paris with our million pound backpacks
Tesia and I on the train! I felt like I was in Downton Abbey and Mary should be sitting right next to me as we took our private cab through the countryside of France

When we got to the train station everything was shutting down so it was a miracle that the lady helped us at all. Then the metro station was a million miles away so it took us about a half an hour to find it. Also I was paranoid of pickpockets so I was practically sweating the whole time.
So we get to our hotel..
Aaaand its right across from the Moulin Rouge..sketch
Aaand surrounded by "adult shops." Awesome.
Day 2
We woke up and went to see the Arc de Triomphe..too bad I deleted the only picture of me AND the Arc on accident..so you will just have to make due with this awesome picture of me standing directly in front of it..fail
The view from the top
Aaaand my first glimpse of the Eiffel Tower
So then it started actually pouring on us..so we were in search of shelter when we stumbled across this beaut of a street
And saw the Eiffel Tower again..
And look what was at the end! Its a war museum of WWI and WWII. Super rad and it got us out of the downpour
Turns out Napolean's crypt is in there! Who knew?!
Picture overload. The back of the church that Napolean's crypt is in
Inside the church was this crazy thing! I cannot imagine ever making something like this..nutso
So it was actually a really pretty place
Then we went to a shop and got..crepes! Turns out you need to get more than just one thing on them to make them good..sort of gagged me but I learned!
The shop owner was only the nicest guy ever. So I'm sitting there just happily eating my warm food and he comes over to tell me my shoe is broken..you know the gem ones that I have had for 5 years that I wore to prom? Devastating. So he tells me to sit back down and he goes back into a nook and pulls out this double sided tape, takes the shoe from me and totally fixes it! What a kind soul.
From there we decided that it was time to see the Eiffel Tower in all its glory
Adorbs. Just roomies is all
Can you see that these are military personnel? Terrifying. As far as I could tell they were there for no reason! Just hulking around with their big huge guns and looking menacing!
Well uh..as it turns out it started to pour on us once more..painful raindrops. So we nixed climbing to the top and decided to go later
This picture makes it look a little ghetto but really it wasn't..it was all cobbled streets and quant little apartment buildings..in love. We just walked around all behind our hotel and found all sorts of goodies!
Like baguettes..classic
And croissants..even more classic
See how cute it is!?
Right outside of the church that was up there you could see for miles in every direction!
Church steps
Another view pic
See how pretty it all is!? So rad
Day 3
We decided to brave the weather the next morning and climb it!
Pic from the first level..slight haggardness
Second level..waaaay haggard
Then once I wasn't so red faced and breathless from all those 900 stairs I took another pic where I look human
Very top! Shoot it was high!
Isn't that just so precious!?
The view
Pretty sure this is the only picture of all 4 of us from the entire trip because we were scared to ask other people to use our camera's incase they stole them..
I needed a treat after all of that climbing business
So then we went to Notre Dame. While we were waiting in the wrong line we decided to get some lunch. A 'hot dog'. Which is really two hotdogs in a baguette covered in cheese. It was all fine and dandy till I saw the hotdogs connected..garbage it was from that point

So I lit a candle in Notre Dame for my Grandma because I thought she would like that sort of thing? Who really knows
Radness on radness on radness

Outside of Notre Dame
So..the trees here are cut into squares..weird

And we saw the lock bridge that is apparently all over pinterest. Yeah I've never seen it..

Then we went to the Louvre. That right there is the Mona Lisa..thats as close as I could get to it..
Day 3

We went to the Luxembourg Palace the next morning..we couldn't go in or anything so mostly we just walked through the gardens and such

Then we went to the Pantheon. It was raining way hard once again so don't mind all of  my outfits. But look at this guy! Doesn't he look like one of the Volturi?! And his name is Voltaire! Inspiration?

Then we went to go and see the Eiffel Tower all lit up..I was a little disappointed that it was with all of these strange colors instead of the classic gold but I suppose beggars can't be choosers right? Thats what I keep telling myself
Aaaand we saw the Arc lit up at night as well
Day 4
So then yesterday we went back up behind our hotel to do some more exploring and we happened across this group of street musicians. They were seriously so good..we were their biggest fans aside from an older asian man who knew all of the words to every song..literally. 2 of the girls on our group bought their CD's..and all of the songs are in french. They were just really really good

Then we went back to see Notre Dame lit up

And the Louvre..
Then as our final goodbye to Paris we got another crepe..we just had to
Day 5
So then this morning we just packed up and checked out of our hotel without any hiccups this time so that was a pleasant surprise. We hopped on our train and came back to London. It's weird how I was totally longing to be back in London when we were in Paris-it totally feels like a sort of home now. Anywho-we got back, I went grocery shopping and then did some laundry buuuut as it turns out the washing machine I used was broken. But I didn't actually know that until I had waited the hour before the cycle had completed..so I had to fork over another 4 pounds to wash them all again so I have been in a study room for going on 3 hours now..but oh how nice it is to be home!
Au Revoir!
