We were out the door of our London flat by 10am on Wednesday. Boy was I glad that I hadn't packed anymore. I didn't believe everyone telling me that until we were walking the half mile with all of our luggage. I had my one bag and backpack and Khrystalle had three bags and a backpack!
We got on our coach and made it to Cardiff with only a few hiccups. Once we found our "hotel" we got in our beds and watched Big Bang Theory for the night. It was a win
Day 2
Yesterday we got up and went over to Cardiff Bay. It wasn't as fun as we thought it would be! Thats really all that we did..sorry theres nothing more to report.
Day 3
Khrystalle had a late night last night and so we got sort of a late start this morning. Our first stop was Cardiff Castle. We got off the bus and as we made our way over to the castle we thought it would be a 'good idea' to take a short cut and go through a tunnel instead of crossing the street. Bad idea. After we got down the stairs and approached the tunnel we saw a man push himself from the wall that he was leaning against and start to walk towards us-my heart dropped. He was limping a little and I noticed he was rambling as we cautiously got closer. Khrystalle and I started to walk as fast as we could but it wasn't fast enough. As we got within hearing distance I heard him say "Oh good, you came over." I didn't know how to respond and I was starting to feel more and more sick to my stomach. As he was right next to me he shouted "don't come any closer" and "watch out." As we started to run a little I looked behind me and watched as he pulled something from his back pocket and rip something from it. In my delusional and terrified mind it was a grenade. Ya think I've watched too many crime shows? Good gracious. At that point Khrystalle and I sprinted the rest of the length of the tunnel, continually glancing behind us to ensure he wasn't following and then we ran the rest of the way up the slant of the tunnel. I actually almost started crying-my heart was pounding and I was sick to my stomach with fear. It was obvious to me that he was just an older man who wasn't all there but I still could not stop myself from shaking. Freak it was scary.
We made it into Cardiff Castle and walked around for a good amount of time. We hadn't really had anything to eat and so by that time we were starving! We made our way over to the Cardiff Market which was a lot of butcher shops and then there were a few with old clothes. But then we saw that they had shops with 5 donuts for sale for 2 pounds! What a steal. We were sold. But we decided to be good and eat dinner first so we went to an italian restaurant down the street. The food was delish and so were the donuts!
