Day 10

For some reason unbeknownst to all of the students, our professors have planned our daily field trips for the morning hours. Like real morning. Today we had to be all the way across town by 9am for a tour that didn't even start until 10! It has come to this-we are that group that they tell to meet an hour before the real thing to make sure nobody is late. The shame!
Anywho, to pass the time we walked through the exhibition at the Globe Theater where our guided tour was to take place..an hour later. And I stumbled across this dress. Apparently it is a replica of a dress which Elizabeth wore (which Elizabeth that may have been..I haven't a clue)
Then we went on the guided tour through the Globe. This is the inside of it-where we saw our play today

After the tour we had 2 hours to kill before we needed to be back in line for the play, The Tempest that we were to see so we decided to go in search of an Eat. Apparently it is a place to grab a quick lunch that has these things called Million Dollar Shortcake which we absolutely must try. It's a right of passage or some nonsense like that. So we found one-and you know what? The sandwich that I had contained mayonnaise. Lots of it. And on top of that it had more of this raw bacon that they are trying to kill everyone with! Revolting. So we passed up that opportunity and went straight for the shortcake. Not so life altering as it turns out.

So we trudged back to the theater and you know what? My feet hurt. Like nobody's business. I wasn't really into this whole standing outside to wait thing. So I sat down and you know what I saw?
Rips! Rips and tears in my Sperry boots! This is a monstrosity! I demand a refund! They are just falling to pieces! The inside of them has been tearing a little bit too and Jessie told me I should return them and I never got around to it and figured it would be just fine..wrong again. I would certainly not describe this as fine.
This was my view for the play..yes yes I was leaning up against the stage
This is a delightful picture of the unsuspecting play-goers. This is before we entered the H.E.double hockey sticks that was awaiting us inside. As it turns out standing for 3 hours after walking around for 4 isn't as pleasant as you would think? Oh you didn't think it would have been pleasant? Neither did I and it was worse than I imagined. My feet are still crying.
