Anywho I found what I was looking for and I was stoked! Turns out I really like doing things like that on my own. Not so much a fan of asking if we could stop at a booth and then feeling rushed as they watch me look at things. Thanks but no thanks. It was much more enjoyable and relaxing when I did it on my own. Also, it seems that I am not very good at bartering.. "how much for this?" "10 pounds" "could you do 8?" "no" "ok *hands over 10 pounds*" what a sucker. But I got what I wanted so that is all that really counts right?
So uh..then I came back to the flat and realized that my ticket for tonights play was missing. Like gone. Oops. So I hurried and emailed my teacher and as I was waiting for him to respond to tell me what to do..I fell asleep. Like really fell asleep-for 2 hours. When I woke up it was 6:06. I read the response to my email that said to meet him at 6:30 and he would try and see if we could get me another ticket. Yeah its a 45 minute tube ride and then a 10 minute walk. I was out the door by 6:11. While I was on the bus I had a few minutes of panic in which I thought I didn't have my tube pass. Great. No wait! I found it. So I hop on the tube and hop off at my stop and fast walk my way to the theater. Have you ever seen the Olympic Fast Walkers (probs not their real title)? Because I put them to shame. So I get to the gate and I tell the man that I don't have my ticket but my teacher is inside and he is going to get it for me. He says that Brett would need to come and get me so I try and explain to him that he doesn't know I am here. No luck. They tell me to stand off to the side and hope he comes. And come he did! About 2 minutes later he comes and grabs me and tells me that the box office man would reprint my ticket but that I coudln't pick it up until 10 minutes before the show starts. Crap. That means that I would have to stand for the next 3 hours of the show. We get in there and the kind box office man says he will print it off right then! What a saint! As I'm walking out I of course open the door with altogether far too much gusto and the door smacks into the wall. Awesome. Then I find my friends and I get in line right up front with them-so I guess I'm one of those girls who does that whole cutting thing. But I got the raddest standing spot ever!
See! Literally leaning on the stage. So rad
Post-fast walk of death
The show was so good though! Usually I dont really like the Shakespeare plays all that much but this one was my fav! It was A Midsummer Nights Dream. The shiz. Way better than the Oregon Shakespeare Festival one I went to freshman year!
