Can you believe I am in my second week here?! I can't. It seems like I have been here so long sometimes but for the most part it seems like I was having my meltdown in the airport just yesterday!
This morning we had another of our scheduled class field trips and we went to the Museum of London. It was pretty cool- the history that it covered started in the BC years. When we were done we came back to the flat to hurry and finish our readings that we have due tomorrow aaaand then we all laid in our beds and had a lazy day. I shouldn't be wasting my time here doing things like that but it just felt so nice!
We had been hearing a whole bunch about a restaurant called Eat that is a big chain here and have been wanting to go there for days so Khrystalle and I planned it all out to go to dinner there and then go to our play. We walked to the restaurant and found that it was closed! What restaurant closes at 5!? Well it turns out a lot of them do here! We walked around for about a half an hour trying to find somewhere that looked good and was within our budget and finally, after many fails and trying to order at a place that was closed (the guy kept saying "it is all gross"-or so we thought, turns out he was saying "were all closed"..embarrassing) we went to a place called Pret A Manger that is apparently really good. False. I miss Panda Express.
My phone has decided to not work with the pictures I am trying to upload or I would post a picture of me and my almond croissant that I had at dinner. So yummy! Highlight of my day! They sure know how to do desserts here!
Then we headed over to Matilda which I was way excited for! They made it into a musical and it was supposed to be really good. Yeah..wasn't my favorite. Although you know Mrs. Trunchbull? The mean principal? She was played by a man who had the tendency to role his eyes back in his head..talk about creepy!
So that was it! My lame day! I'll do better tomorrow!
